9. Christmas wreath
The joy of handmade, local materials and crafting with your neighbours
Tis nearly the season, and this year I decided to have a go at making my own wreath. I didn’t want to spend the money on a class, and I also didn’t want to buy a wreath, so making my own was the perfect plan. Not wanting to go it alone I decided to invite some neighbours over for a wreath making party. Mulled wine, mince pies and a pooled budget got us a heap of foraged and locally sourced materials.
We made quite the mess, had fun and strengthened our friendships around the kitchen table. As a bonus prize we also each ended up with beautiful and individual festive wreaths that now hang proudly for all to see.
I did the same with a couple of friends! Really pleased with the results. Lovely journal style.
